As early as 2022, drift king Ken Block wanted to win the legendary hill climb at Pikes Peak with his 1400 hp Porsche, which goes by the name Hoonipigasus, and in doing so break the track record of 7:57.148 minutes, which was set by Romain Dumas in the all-electric VW ID.R. At that time, however, an engine failure paralyzed the all-wheel drive monster in qualifying.

The Hoonigan Racing Division planned a new attempt for 2023, but it was not to take place in the planned form, because Ken Block died unexpectedly in a snowmobile accident on January 2nd. In honor of her father, his then 16-year-old daughter Lia, who also has petrol in her veins, drove the Hoonipigasus up the Pikes Peak in 2023. Lia Block was able to take it easy with the horsepower monster, however, because she started outside the classification and thus without timekeeping. The pink Porsche is available in our shop in scale 1:43 from the label Spark. A model that will make the hearts of not only Ken Block fans and fans of extreme conversions beat faster.

The Hoonipigasus is the first mid-engine Porsche 911 with all-wheel drive. The twin-turbocharged Porsche has an output of 1400 hp despite weighing just under 1000 kg. BBi Autosport and the Hoonigan Racing Division took the Porsche 964 series as a model for the design of the body. Other ingredients for the Hoonipigasus are extremely widened wheel arches and an XXL-format spoiler, which, together with the huge flaps and the powerful diffuser, is intended to keep the pink PS monster on the ground. The paintwork is based on the legendary Porsche 917/20 "Pink pig", with which Reinhold Joest and Willi Kauhsen competed in Le Mans in 1971.

The death of rally and drift legend Ken Block came as a surprise to his large fan base. In addition to his rally career, the co-founder of the DC Shoes brand also repeatedly attracted attention with elaborate video productions. His video "Gymkhana Five", for the filming of which the entire downtown area of ??San Francisco was closed off, received 103 million views on YouTube. Block worked as a consultant for popular game titles such as Need for Speed ??and Dirt Rally. After his death, the Block name lives on in motorsport through his daughter Lia. Lia has been working for Williams as an F1 junior since the 2024 season. In this context, she completed her first season on the circuit and finished in eighth place.
