Three special models by Ivo in scale 1:43

Today we want to report on three special models from the Schumacher era in our blog. The Jordan 191 with which Michael Schumacher competed in its first Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Ferrari 412 T2 with which Schumacher did the test drives for Ferrari and the Ferrari F2002 that became Schumacher’s first company car.

The first of the three models is the Jordan 191 with which Michael Schumacher contested his first Formula 1 Grand Prix on August 25th, 1991 in Spa. The car was originally presented as the Jordan 911. The 911 should represent the year 91 and Formal Class 1. However, after Porsche filed a complaint with Team Jordan, the vehicle was renamed to 191. In this vehicle, Michael Schumacher, as substitute regular driver for Eddie Jordan, finished 7th in qualifying in Spa, without knowing the track. Unfortunately, he retired from the race due to a clutch failure. The scale 1:43 model by Ixo is limited to 1991 pieces and comes in an exclusive folding box.

The second in the group is also the first Ferrari in which Michael Schumacher sat in 1995. Schumacher had switched from Team Benetton to Ferrari shortly before and drove his first test drives on the in-house test track in Fiorano in this 412 T2. The model in scale 1:43 by Ixo comes in an exclusive "World Champion" collector edition box in black. What is special about this collector's item is that Ixo has placed a driver figure inside the vehicle.

The third model is the Ferrari F2005, which, according to its name, was used in the season 2005. Michael Schumacher drove the vehicle for the first time at the Bahrain Grand Prix on April 3rd, 2005. The F2005 was extremely light. The weight limit in the 2005 season, including the driver and all fluids, was 605kg. Since new rules in 2005 made stiffeners and reinforcements compulsory on the vehicles, the low weight was more than exceptional. The built-in 055 engine was the last Ferrari V10 engine in Formula 1 to date. The regulations at that time stipulated that the engine had to remain in the vehicle for 2 race weekends. The scale 1:43 model by Ixo is a must have for Formula 1 fans and fans of Michael Schumacher. As a highlight, a driver figure has been added to the model and it is delivered in an exclusive "World Champion" collector edition box in black.
