It looked like Audi would win again for a long time, but the luck was more on the BMW side last Sunday: The Rowe Racing Team managed to achieve the 20th triumph of the brand at the classic event with the 24 Hours of the Nürburgring. 50 years after the first edition of the Eifel-marathon, the BMW M6 GT3 with the starting number 99 crossed the finish line after 85 laps as the overall winner. Congratulations! Rowe Racing fans have plenty of choice when it comes to create a collection of the cars from this racing team, which was founded by Michael Zehe and Hans-Peter Naundorf back in 2011. The operational use is the responsibility of the Motorsport Competence Group AG or MCG AG from St. Ingbert, which sees itself as a service provider and industrial development partner for the automotive and racing sectors.

Since 2011, Rowe Racing competes in the VLN endurance championship Nürburgring and the 24 Hour Race at the Nürburgring. In 2014, the motorsport team of the mineral oil manufacturer Rowe Mineralölwerk GmbH took part in the ADAC GT Masters. At this time, Rowe Racing used up to four Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3; since 2015, the team is also represented in the Blancpain GT Series. After five years as Mercedes-Benz customer team, the team is factory supported by BMW since 2016 and relies on two new developed BMW M6 GT3, of which one won the 24 Hours of Spa at first attempt. At the Nürburgring 2020, the BMW M6 GT3 could not keep up the pace with the top on Saturday. When the track became too wet and the sight became worse - excellenty to follow on TV or live streams - the racing direction interrupted the race at midnight and continued on Sunday morning at 8:00 o'clock. When the track had dried off, the BMW teams became faster and caught up with the top of the Audi R8 from Land Motorsport. In an exciting final phase, the Rowe Racing Team did the right decision in terms of tire choice and took over the leading, which final driver Catsburg brought over the finish line. It was the first overall victory for the Bavarians since 2010. Behind the BMW M6 GT3 of the BMW Schnitzer Team with No. 42, the BMW of Rowe Racing with starting number 98 took the fourth place.
