With the 57th Adenauer Circuit Trophy, Krombach and his two teammates, Oliver Kunz and Lion Düker, gradually entered the crucial phase of their preparations for the absolute highlight of the year: the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The trio competed with a Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 Clubsport as usual in the Cup3 class, which this time boasted a formidable field of 24 competitors.

"This time it was like a small brands-cup series within the NLS. Accordingly, the pace was aggressive throughout the entire race. Contact and paint swaps were commonplace," said Christoph Krombach.

Race day started promptly at 8:30 a.m. with the 90-minute qualifying session, which already delivered the first piece of good news – third place on the starting grid in the AM category of the Cup3 class meant a strong starting position for the subsequent race. However, things would turn out even better for the W&S Motorsport team than expected. The team around Christoph Krombach remained in the leading group of their class for the entire race distance. Even contact with a GT3 car didn't faze the Porsche crew. The trio ultimately crossed the finish line in a strong second place in their class!

"During my first stint, there were many retirements in our class, and we almost got caught up in it ourselves. On lap five, I made contact with the Falken Porsche, but managed to catch the car just before it hit the ground. From then on, Lion and Olli did a flawless job and brought the car home in second place. This allowed us to collect more important championship points. Two races, two podium finishes – we are incredibly proud of this result. We're also currently second in the championship standings. Now we're really looking forward to the absolute highlight of the season, the 24-hour race."

The ADAC 24h Qualifiers, taking place on the weekend of April 18th to 19th, will be the dress rehearsal for the 24-hour race in mid-May.
