Together with Daniel Gregor, he achieved another class victory in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR from the KÜS Team Bernhard.
The third race weekend of the Porsche Sports Cup Germany at the Red Bull Ring lies behind Christoph Krombach. The third race weekend of the popular Porsche platform took place on the scenic circuit in Styria.
Christoph Krombach contested the two half-hour sprint runs and the race of the Porsche Endurance Challenge over 100 minutes in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR of the KÜS Team Bernhard. In the long-distance race, he shared the Cayman with Bernhard junior driver Daniel Gregor, who is also competing in the ADAC GT4 Germany this year and is seventh in the standings after four races.
On Sunday afternoon, the duo was able to win class 1b in the 100-minute long-distance race of the Porsche Endurance Challenge, in which the Cayman GT4 vehicles start without an RS package. For the founder of ck-modelcars and his young team partner it is the third victory in the third long-distance race of the season. On the GP course in Austria, the duo fought an exciting battle for victory with their closest pursuers.
Thanks to the series of successes, Krombach and Gregor were also able to celebrate the half-time championship in the Porsche Endurance Challenge in Styria. After three of six race weekends, the two drivers from Timo Bernhard's team are leading the championship in their class and in the overall standings.
"Our goal this year is clearly the championship in the Porsche Endurance Challenge!", emphasized Christoph Krombach after the event in the Alpine Republic. “I am more than satisfied with our season so far. Three races, three victories - it doesn't get any better than this! I would also like to thank Daniel Gregor and the entire Bernhard racing team for their support.”
Krombach finished the two Porsche Sprint GT races as a soloist in the top 5 in his class. After finishing fifth on Saturday, he moved up to fourth position in the hard-fought series of Cayman GT4 cars on Sunday. The modelcar entrepreneur is currently fifth in the championship.
The fourth race weekend of the Porsche Sports Cup Germany takes place in three weeks. After two guest performances abroad in a row, the popular Porsche event is making a guest appearance in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
