Friends of the large scale 1:12 can probably agree with the editorial team of ck-modelcars.de that it is mostly about modelcars of Porsche, Ford and BMW M1, which appear in that model size. Top Marques, however, has the brand with the prancing horse in focus: With the miniatures of the Ferrari F355 Spider from 1994, the small series label presents a strong classic. The open two-seater measures around 36 centimeters and is therefore an excellent eye-catcher in every office or living room, even as a single piece without a passion for collecting; about twelve centimeters more than comparable modelcars in the format 1:18. Manufactured from the high-quality polyurethane cast resin resin and painted in corsa red, these models come to fans in a limited edition of only 250 units: a highlight; also impressive from the choice of the prototype.

The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta and Spider made their debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1994. Their eight-cylinder engine developed 280 kW / 381 hp from its 3.5 liter displacement and brought it to the rear axle via a six-speed manual gearbox. The modelcars presented here reproduce the original version of the Spider, so we will not go into the later improvements of the prototypes offered in 1998 at this point. The press praised the F355 for the balance with which the components engine, clutch, chassis and brakes were coordinated. This represented a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Ferrari 348; Also superior to this, as it is available with five-valve technology and electronically adjustable chassis. An F355 accelerates in 4.7 seconds to 100 kph; 295 kilometers per hour are given as the maximum speed.

The total of 11,273 F355s were produced, including 2,663 Spiders. Used and accident-free F355 Spiders cost around 80,000 euros today; they have about 50,000 to 80,000 kilometers on the clock. The modelcars with item number TM12-21A built by Top Marques are guaranteed not to have been in use before they reach their new owners. A flawless finish of the surface included, which perfectly implements the breathtakingly beautiful lines of the role model. The interior is of the same quality: the dashboard, instruments as well as the seating system and interior panelling exude a touch of luxury in these modelcars, which Ferrari fans appreciate from miniatures. A representative of the scale 1:12, as one could not wish for it better!
