The BMW M3 of the series E30, first introduced in 1985, is one of the most famous sports sedans ever made. Heavily modified with front spoiler, rear spoiler, wide fenders to enable a wider track and corresponding sill extensions and new rear window frame, this vehicle was homologated by the Bavarians to the base for the touring car sport. The 2.3 to 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder initially made 143 kW / 195 and gave in the last stage, the Sport Evolution version from 1992, about 175 kW / 238 hp. The label CMR, which is slowly but surely becoming a specialist in motorsport, dedicates these BMW M3 several modelcars in scale 1:43. The budget miniatures are made of diecast and are available exclusively at ck-modelcars.de.

Among them is, for example, the racing car, with which Roberto Ravaglia had won the German Touring Car Championship for the BMW M Team Schnitzer in the year 1989. Ravaglia, born in Venice in May 1957, wrote motorsports history with BMW before: In the age of 29 years, he became Touringcars-European-Champion with the BMW 635 CSi; one year later, 1987, he won the Touringcar-Championship with a BMW M3 as the frist driver ever. The title win in the DTM in 1989, followed by other triumphs: Until the end of his active career in 1997, Ravaglia celebrated a total of 52 victories and 136 more times on the podium. A little bit later, the Venetian continued his career as team manager with BMW successfully. The modelcars for the 1989 M3, the winning car from the DTM, produces CMR under the item number CMR43027.

The specific differences replicates CMR exactly: In terms of details on the front bumper and clearly recognizable on the rear spoiler namely, the 1989 differs from the 1992 versions, which can be noticed correctly by the collector at the well handcrafted modelcars. Under the item number CMR43034, the small BMW M3 from CMR takes over the changes of the Sport Evolution development stage from 1992 and transfers them to the service car of Armin Hahne, who competed in the decoration with the popular Jägermeister Orange for the Jägermeister Linder Team in the DTM. Joachim Winkelhock won the DTM race at the Norisring in 1992 for the BMW M Team Schnitzer. CMR launches this model under the number CMR43032 as a model in the collector's showcase and thus blends into the great years of the DTM, which have remained in the fans' minds until today.
