In one of the latest modelcars from WERK83, a different component plays a role: the rarity.
Markku Alén started sporadically in the DTM and the ITC in 1995 – including at his home game in Helsinki. He was not successful, but the former rally driver still had the favor of the fans on his side. The reason for this was the design of his Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI. The McDonalds logo adorned the Italian touring car for the first time.
Motor sport sponsorships for the fast food chain were nothing unusual at the time. Millions of commitments in the big American series such as NASCAR or IndyCar were an integral part of it. Quite different in Europe, where there have always been far fewer racing vehicles with McDonalds branding. Markku Alén's Alfa is one of a few exceptions.
What underlines the rarity: The McDonalds design was only available at a single event, the aforementioned ITC race weekend on the Helsinki street circuit. The modelcar is therefore the perfect addition to the series that WERK83 has dedicated to the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI from the DTM and ITC era.
All models are produced from diecast and in scale 1:18. Collectors can really look forward to the high quality processing and the opening doors.
