With 74,900 to 93,800 euros in the hand, the fan of an Alfa Romeo Montreal would have the opportunity to buy one to today's status: 14 offers are listed at mobile.de. A quite larger number of pieces produced KK-Scale for its customers: The label currently offers two new modelcars to this classic of sports car construction in scale 1:18, each limited to 500 units. The miniatures built from diecast convince with an appearance corresponding to the lines of the prototype and a first-class craftsmanship. In addition to the green verde termico of the model with the item number KKDC180384, it is above all the orange with the melodious name Aragosta-Arancio that should be well known to the followers of this Alfa Romeo and which looks great on the miniatures with the number KKDC180385.

The then chief designer of Bertone, Marcello Gandini, presented the Alfa Romeo Montreal in 1967 as a design study at the world exhibition Expo 67 in Montreal, Canada. When it arrived safely, series production was decided and implemented from 1970 to 1977. The slats in front of the headlights are and have been what have given the car a very special face: in the study it was still rigid, in the series it went down when the lamps were switched on; The execution of this detail shows how well the modelcar mold makers do their work at KK-Scale. Doors and hoods remain closed on these; Customary for the manufacturer and responsible for ensuring that the models can be offered at a fair and affordable price. The production version made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1970; 3,925 units were built.

Under the hood, Alfa Romeo delivered an eigh-cylinder for the first time in a series-production car. The V8 developed 147 kW / 200 hp from its 2.6 liter displacement. It accelerates the Montreal to 100 in 7.6 seconds. The top speed is specified with 200 kilometers per hour at the Italian that is equipped with a five-speed transmission. The side vents are used to ventilate the cockpit and are one of the other design features that make the Alfa Romeo Montreal a highlight in automotive design. From the wooden steering wheel to the tailgate made entirely of glass, KK-Scale also harmonized the shape and design of the interior of the Montreal, which was then understood to be lavish. Modelcars that are just as much fun to look at even for those who don't actually collect the brand. Why not? Two other models in silver and red are also available.
