The diplomat and businessman Emil Jellinek took over the Austro Daimler company in Wiener Neustadt and hired Ferdinand Porsche in 1906. He designed the type 28/32 for the model range in 1908, which was later called the 28/36 and finally became the main model in the Austro Daimler range from 1912 as 18/38. In December 1907 Archduke Leopold Salvator, the general inspector of the k.u.k. Artillery, this wonderful 28/32 with the city car body from the body manufacturer Cerny.
At Austro Daimler, design engineer Otto Köhler and production technicians Otto Stahl and Oswald Kux played an important role in the collaboration with Ferdinand Porsche.
