When the Nürburgring 24 Hours calls, a battle against time, technology, and the unpredictable Eifel track begins for many teams. This was also true for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with starting number 181 from Team Sorg Rennsport, entered in the 2024 endurance classic. Competing in the fiercely contested SP10 class for GT4 cars, the vehicle was driven by Richard Jodexnis, Christoph Krombach, Kurt Strube, and Bernhard Wagner, who bring a balanced combination of experience, dedication, and passion for the Nordschleife.

Ottomobile has now recreated the Sorg Rennsport Porsche Cayman as a model in scale 1:18 made of high-quality resin. Dense fog caused a race interruption at 11:22 p.m. on Saturday. The race was originally scheduled to resume at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, but visibility did not improve. Ultimately, the race restarted behind the safety car at 1:30 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., the race was officially stopped without a regular restart. This decision wasn't met with understanding from all teams, but it was made in the interest of everyone's safety. The Sorg Rennsport Cayman finished the memorable race in ninth place in its class.
