When people talk about the greatest drivers in the history of rallying, one name inevitably comes up: Walter Röhrl. Together with his co-driver Christian Geistdörfer, the man from Regensburg wrote motorsport history – in the 1980s as the defining two-man team of the World Rally Championship. Two of their most significant victories are now available in our shop as detailed 1:24 models from the manufacturer Altaya, bringing the golden age of the Group 4 and Group B eras to life in collector display cases.

The first model depicts the Fiat 131 Abarth with starting number 10, which won the legendary Monte Carlo Rally in 1980. In a time when snow, ice, and tactics dominated the supreme discipline, Röhrl prevailed against the assembled opposition in a thrilling battle. The Altaya model impresses with its authentic appearance, including the iconic livery and authentic rally decals. The proportions, rims, and headlights were reproduced true to scale.

The second model is dedicated to the Audi Sport quattro S1 with starting number 5 – winner of the 1985 Sanremo Rally. It was one of the most important triumphs of the factory team at the time and underscored the supremacy of all-wheel drive. The Audi S1 was a technical monster of its time: more than 470 hp, a radical body, striking aerodynamics, and a memorable sound. The Altaya model skillfully recreates the aggressive look of the original at a scale of 1:24. From the powerful rear wing to the wide fender flares, everything that distinguished the Group B racer is present.

Both vehicles represent victories in an era in which courage, driving feel, and mechanics set the tone. Röhrl and Geistdörfer shaped this era like no other duo – with precision, composure, and impressive consistency. Both Altaya model cars are delivered on a base plate without a display case cover.
