Behind Rexy's cool look is a real racing car. The Porsche 911 RSR-19 was specially developed for long-distance use. With a 4.2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, it delivers 515 horsepower and impresses with the reliability so typical of Porsche. A lightweight chassis, optimal aerodynamics and good handling make the Porsche RSR even more competitive.
Rexy was driven in the 2023 LMGTE-Am class by the experienced long-distance drivers Matteo Cairoli, Phillip Jeffrey Hyett and Gunnar Jeannette. The three drivers had some spectacular duels, but were able to count on the reliability of their Rexy and finally saw the checkered flag in seventh place in their class. This finish also marked the end of the era of GTE vehicles at the Sarthe, because since 2024 GT3 cars have occupied the GT-category at Le Mans.
The popular car with a dinosaur look was first presented at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Even though the evil dino seems to be hunting its competitors with its mouth wide open, it looks quite cute at second glance. The slight smile in the corners of its mouth and the small Tyrannosaurus arms make Rexy unique and lovable.
The crowd favorite thrilled fans all over the world from the start. His first appearance in the IMSA series brought him a lot of recognition, especially from American motorsport enthusiasts. The start at the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans then brought him a steadily growing following in Europe.
Anyone who wants to bring the beautifully designed dino home to their collector's shelf has the chance to do so with the detailed model in scale 1:18 from Ixo.
