But in the orange and black McLaren MCL36, the team often fell short of their own expectations from a sporting point of view and was unable to set any accents.

For the whole season, the team with Lando Norris' third place finish has just one podium finish at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix in Imola.

Thanks to impressive consistency, Norris still managed to finish seventh in the overall standings with 17 points in 22 races at the end of the season - and thus holds the title "best of the rest" behind the top teams Red Bull, Mercedes and Ferrari.

The season was less successful for Daniel Ricciardo. The Australian had a much harder time with the McLaren MCL36 than his British team-mate and, with just 37 points for the whole year, managed just under a quarter of the points in the constructors' championship.

What is definitely one of the highlights of Ricciardo's season is a strong sixth place at his home race in Melbourne. After a pointless start to the season, the 34-year-old finished in the points for the first time in the third race of the season.

The racing car of Ricciardo's home round was produced by Minichamps in scale 1:18, just like the car of his teammate from the season opener in Bahrain.
