While we approached the weekend a bit contemplatively with the young timers from Norev, we want to start the new week at full throttle: The label GT-Spiritmodels or GT-Spirit presented modelcars of the brand new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 in a limitation of 500 units and in the trendy large scale 1:12 under the item number GT27. The miniatures replicate the new top version of the American sports car, which was presented in January 2019 and exclusively rolls out to the customers in North America since last October. Its V8 developes from its 5.2 liter displacement fabulous 567 kW / 771 hp and delivers a maximum torque of 847 Newton meters (Nm) to the rear wheels. In comparison: The brand new Porsche 911 Trubo S 992 has 478 kW / 650 hp at 800 Nm. But let us stay with the Mustang Shelby GT500 2020. 

GT-Spiritmodels has modeled the vehicle based on the facelift from the model year 2018 down to the smallest detail. In addition to the new suspension, higher quality materials and a new digital cockpit moved into the car. The mold making engineers have carefully picked up the changes to the design that differentiate the Shelby GT500 to the base vehicles: front bumper and spoiler lip as well as the inner life of the headlights are from the same high quality like the aerodynamically refined sill as well as diffuser and rear spoiler. The attachments such as the rear light inserts and the four tailpipes of the exhaust system are model construction at its finest! This also applies to the replica of the light alloy rims as well as the filigree threads of the rear window heating. 

Also remarkable is the reduction of the diodes of the third brake light on the top of the rear window frame as well as the rings around the ventilation openings in the dashboard. In general: Seats and door linings are perfectly replicated! These models in 1:12 measure around 40 centimeters in length, in 1:18 it would be around 27 centimeters. On the one hand there is room for really well worked out details, on the other hand the acceleration of the collector's pulse while watching like the Shelby GT500 is speeding up: From zero to 100 kilometers per hour, the role model needs 3.5 seconds. The top speed is given with 290 kilometers per hour. Then the Porsche 911 Turbo S 2020 is superior: He reaches 330. Our conclusion: Especially in the large scale 1:12, GT-Spiritmodels offers a lot of model for the money and whose heart beats for the Mustangs is just right here!
