With the Ferrari 12Cilindri, the brand from Maranello presented one of the most remarkable vehicles in its recent history in 2024. In an era where turbochargers, hybrid powertrains, and electrification dominate the automotive world, Ferrari made a deliberate statement, remaining true to one of its greatest traditions: the naturally aspirated twelve-cylinder engine. The car's name makes no secret of its most important characteristic.
Bburago has now recreated this extraordinary vehicle in scale 1:18. The models are available in the classic Ferrari colors of Corsa Red and Modena Yellow, impressively showcasing the elegant design of the original. Both versions are limited to just 1,500 pieces, making them specifically aimed at collectors and Ferrari enthusiasts.
The details are truly remarkable: the doors, hood, and trunk open, revealing the intricately detailed interior. The engine compartment is a particular highlight, as it houses the heart of the car. The interior has also been faithfully reproduced, conveying a realistic impression of the modern Ferrari cockpit. Steerable wheels further enhance the model's dynamic presentation.
The complete package is rounded off by the included display case, which stylishly showcases and protects the model. Whether in traditional Corsa Red or striking Modena Yellow, both versions impressively demonstrate why the Ferrari 12Cilindri is already considered one of the most exciting Ferraris of our time.
As with the original, the miniatures emphasize the combination of elegance and performance. The real Ferrari 12Cilindri is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces around 830 hp and revs to over 9,000 rpm. This makes it one of the last of its kind. It is a high-revving naturally aspirated engine without forced induction, embodying the classic Ferrari philosophy.
The 12Cilindri succeeds models like the 812 Superfast while simultaneously harking back to the great Ferrari Gran Turismo cars of the past. Its long hood, the passenger compartment set far back, and the flowing lines are reminiscent of legendary front-engined Ferraris of the 1950s and 1960s. At the same time, the design appears modern and futuristic. The black front end, in particular, gives it a distinctive look and clearly sets the 12Cilindri apart from other Ferrari models.
