It is uncompromisingly designed for maximum performance and when one sees the aero concept, including the impressive rear wing, the neighbors will probably ask themselves whether it can fly when it is parked there in the driveway. We are talking about the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which was presented to the public in the 992 series in August 2022. As far as the technology and principles are concerned, the high-performance, street-legal sports car serves itself at Porsche's motorsport department. From the “Faszination Sportwagen” collection series, Minichamps is offering the super sports car from Zuffenhausen in a limited edition and exclusively for ck-modelcars in scale 1:43 in a wide range of colors. Limited to 300 pieces, the copies are available in green, yellow, blue and red. The wheel color varies between gold or black rims. The models in black with gold rims and white with silver rims have a quantity of 500 pieces each. The model in white with red rims and red decor is limited to 1000 pieces. If you want to create a real eye-catcher in your showcase, you can choose the black version with orange applications. The paintwork is a homage to the Porsche 997.1 from 2006. In addition to the individual model of the 911 (992), a 2-car set in combination with the said 997.1 is also available to mark the 17th birthday of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Both items also have a limited edition of 300 pieces.
Porsche GT3 RS that always means that a high-speed naturally aspirated engine does its job in the rear of the Porsche. In the case of the 992, this is the well-known four-liter six-cylinder boxer engine. Compared to the 911 GT3, the “RS” has an increase in performance to 525 hp. What immediately catches your eye are the active aerodynamic components that cannot be overlooked, such as the continuously adjustable wing elements. With 409 kilograms of contact pressure at 200 kph, the 992 puts twice as much pressure on the road as its predecessor. This value shows that Porsche is more than serious about the fourth generation of the GT3 RS. Another sign of racing is the fact that the 911 992 GT3 RS no longer has a trunk. Unfortunately, there is no longer any space for this, as the cooling concept does not rely on three radiators as before, but rather on a large radiator in the middle like the Porsche 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R.
The track tool for the road or the street sports car for the race track? The Porsche 911 992 GT3 RS is somehow both. If you remove the license plates and integrate the 992 into the starting field of a 24-hour race, it will hardly be noticeable with its rear wing, which protrudes over the roof for the first time on an RS model. He has definitely already proven that he can drive a fast lap on the Nordschleife. With Porsche brand ambassador Jörg Bergmeister at the wheel, “the new one” missed the fastest lap for road-legal vehicles by just 1.5 seconds.
