Last weekend, this year's F1 season has begun, the 70th to be exact. For a final prediction it is too early of course, but the dominance of the Mercedes-AMG F1 team in relation to the performance of Ferrari was certainly more shock to the friends of the Scuderia Ferrari as a cause for joy. This is much more likely to be the modelcars of GP Replicas for the 1977 Ferrari 312 T2, in which Niki Lauda and Gilles Villeneuve competed for the Reds. Lauda won the drivers title for the second time; his team became constructors world champion. With the number 312 all Ferrari were called, which had a 12 cylinder with 3.0 liters capacity under the hood, the exact name 312 T2 in the role model of the modelcars of Lauda and Villeneuve, identifies the miniatures as a reduction of the role models from 1976 to 1978.

The Ferrari 312 T2 is an evolution of the 312 T from 1975. In accordance with the changes of the regulations in 1976, the vehicle was adapted and received a larger cockpit opening, but the huge air scoops above the cockpit accounted for. With this vehicle, Ferrari won the Constructors' Championship; Niki Lauda lost the Driver World Championship 1976, who gave up in the wet race of Fuji. It was the year of his bad fire accident at the Nürburgring. 1977 the Scuderia set on the almost unchanged 312 T2, which was powered by the engine with the index number Ferrari 015 3.0 F12 and transferred its 368 kW / 500 hp via five-speed gearbox to the rear wheels. The maximum torque is given by 320 Newton meters (Nm); the maximum speed is 280 kilometers per hour in the databases.

4,316 millimeters or 4,316 meters in length can be read there: GP Replicas has the steamed down the Ferrari legend to about 24 cenitmeters and so offers the collectors excellently made modelcars. The high-lying front spoiler, the side boxes and last but not least the cockpit are details whose execution make the miniatures a masterpiece of model making. The models made out of high-quality resin come in the Lauda version with the start number 11 under the item number GP014D; as Villeneuve's version with the number 21 under GP014C. They are limited to 500 units worldwide. For those who love a bit bigger, we recommend clicking on the link below and seeing the modelcars of the Ferrari 126 C2 from Villeneuve and Pironi from the 1982 season in 1:12!
