The Porsche GT Team lined up the two 911 RSR in special liveries to bid farewell to the GTLM class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
At the season finale on November 14, 2020 in Sebring, the last race of the works team in the sports car series, the two RSR's wore an adaptation of the US national flag. The lettering "Thank You" was emblazoned on the underside of the rear wing.
The Porsche GT Team said goodbye in befitting style with a double victory for the #911 and #912. In the end, the drivers of the starting number 911 Nick Tandy, Frédéric Makowiecki and Earl Bamber were victorious.
In memory of the success of the IMSA series, Porsche AG has released this model car set, which is limited to just 300 units.
