The Isetta is a typical child of the German economic miracle. The highlight of this unique vehicle, also known as a "hugging ball", was the steering column that swivelled when the front door was opened via a cardan joint. The drive was provided by a 250cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine throttled to 12 hp. In the meantime, the few surviving Isettes have become coveted collector's items that are sold at high prices.
