The readers' election of the specialist magazine "Modellfahrzeug" is now upon us for the 33rd time and of course we are hoping for a similar number of awards as in previous years.
The conditions are good, because ck-modelcars is represented at the modelcar Oscar with nominations in five categories. The spectrum of vehicles ranges from Formula 1racers to GT-cars and historic cars to transporters, and in different scales. You can vote until September 19th.
A special Formula 1-car from the 2021 season has been nominated in the "Category E currently 1:43". To celebrate the collaboration with engine supplier Honda, Red Bull Racing sent its two RB16Bs to the Turkish Grand Prix with a special livery. The predominantly white color scheme was a reference to Honda's first premier class win, achieved by American Richie Ginther in Mexico in 1965. Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez took second and third place with the retro design.
The Minichamps model of the DTM winning car from the 2022 season is also brand new. The South African Sheldon van der Linde became champion in the prestigious championship together with Schubert Motorsport. His BMW M4 GT3 is up for election in the "Category K currently 1:18".
Meanwhile, the Porsche 935 K4, which the Kremer brothers team only built twice, leads into the past days of German racing. With the martial body extensions and the legendary Jägermeister design, the K4 is an eye-catcher then as now. The Porsche from our label Werk83 has been nominated in the "Category J Classic 1:18".
Keyword eye-catcher: With the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.1 from 1974 by manufacturer CMR, there is another impressive car in the "Category M various standards" to choose from. The 911 driven by Helmut Koinigg and Manfred Schurti in Le Mans comes in the colors of Martini Racing and is particularly impressive in scale 1:12.
Last but not least, with the OM150 Rolfo racing transporter from CMR, we can also roll a vehicle in the "Category L commercial vehicles 1:18" to the start. In the 1950s, the Italian company specialized in the construction of exclusively manufactured delivery vehicles, including for Scuderia Ferrari.
The election for the "Modelcar of the year" runs until September, 19th, 2023. We look forward to your participation under the following link: https://www.modell-fahrzeug.com/umfrage/2023/mag/
