In the area of family businesses, it is not uncommon for sons to continue the business of their fathers. But its more likely that this happens in motorsport. In 2008, Mick Schumacher started karting and thus followed the footsteps of his father, the seven time world champion Michael Schumacher. From 2015, the Swiss, born on March 22nd, 1999, drove in the Formula 4 for the Prema Powerteam, before entering the European Formula 3 in 2017. There Schumacher remained loyal towards Prema and won the championship with this racing team in 2018. Minichamps has dedicated the winning car to modelcars in scale 1:18 and in a limited edition, of which the price has been updated in our web shop. This also applies to the miniatures of the Benetton B194, with which Mick Schumacher commemorated his father's first World Cup in 2017.

It was a real goosebumps moment: There was standing ovations for Mick Schumacher, when he drove a demo lap with the Benetton B194 before the Grand Prix of Belgium 2017 in Spa-Franchorchamps; the chassis, with which Schumacher sr. won his first world championship in the Formula 1. Minichamps brings the associated models in two versions: Under the item number 113941705 they appeared in scale 1:18, under 447941705 in 1:43; as official licensed product by Mick Schumacher, each strictly limited to 594 units. Both miniatures are produced of diecast and come in a high quality presentation box to its collectors. They do not only replicate exactly the decoration of the role model but also meet the appearance of the successful racing car perfectly, as we don't no in any other way from Minichamps.

The label from Aachen has housed the modelcars of the Prema Theodore Racing Team from the vintage 2018 in an equally exclusive folding box: they reproduce the Dallara F317, with which Mick Schumacher won the European Formula 3 Championship, as mentioned at the beginning. Minichamps produces these miniatures in scale 1:18 from the high-quality polyurethane resin exactly 500 times under item number 147185104. Models and packaging are really classy-looking collector's items. The championship car, powered by an engine from Mercedes-Benz, also appeared in a 1:43 format, available under the item name 447185104 in 500 copies and also made of resin. After ten race weekends of three races and eight victories, Schumacher ended the 2018 season as a champion with a total of 365 points.
