Ixo brings the "fat" pig!

In 1971, Reinhold Joest and Willi Kauhsen first drove the original pink "Pink Pig" livery on the Porsche 917/20 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Despite strong competitiveness, a problem with the braking system forced them to retire from the race prematurely. Almost half a century later, the design returned to the racetrack and celebrated its comeback at Le Mans – this time on a Porsche 911 RSR. Fittingly for Porsche's 70th anniversary, the victory that had eluded them back then was finally achieved there in 2018.

The Porsche 911 RSR, which has competed in the GTE-class since 2017, was the first 911 race car with a front-mid-engine layout. Equipped with a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine and extreme aerodynamics compliant with FIA GTE regulations, the racer from Weissach set new standards in GT racing.

Behind the wheel of the legendary #92 car were Michael Christensen, Kévin Estre, and Laurens Vanthoor. The trio started the race from pole position and crossed the finish line after 344 laps as winners of the LMGTE-Pro class. Fittingly, the sister car, #91, sporting the Rothmans livery, also featured a retro design and finished second. Thus, Porsche celebrated its anniversary with a one-two finish.

With its striking pink design and butcher's lines separating the "meat" segments, the pink "Pig" is unmistakable and a fan favorite worldwide. This even larger version of the race car, featuring authentic lettering from Ixo, brings a piece of Porsche history to any display case. Produced to Ixo's usual high standards, the model is a faithful replica of the original.
