The toy fair 2021 starts in year II of the corona crisis with a novelty: It is going to start from January 25th as digital product preview; the toy fair, as the specialized trade knows it, shold be there from July 20th to 24th, to establish trading relationships and to deepen existing contacts. According to the organizer, maintaining relationships is supported by a varied supporting program. The course of the pandemic will show whether it really happens that way, but one thing is certain: The fans are first and foremost interested in the innovations in modelcars, and is starting reporting on them today. With the Ford Capri 1600, which was driven by Walter Röhrl and Hannes Rothfuß at the Olympic Rallye / FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) in 1972, the first scale 1:43 novelty from the public's favorite CMR is already on sale.

Last year, CMR won four categories at the readers choice for the modelcar of the year. The product range is now extended with the mentioned Ford Capri, which is available under item number WRC012. This also applies to the miniatures of the racing car of Steve Soper at the DTM 1992. The Briton drove the BMW M3 Sport Evolution for the team BMW M Bigazzi. As the Ford Capri retold from diecast, the BMW is now available under item number CMR43060. The models of the Fiat 131 Abarth No. 10 winner rallye Monte Carlo 1980 Röhrl, Geistdörfer are already available and can be added to the innovations for 2021 - also in format 1:43 and listed under the number WRC010 - as well as the Lancia 037 No. 1 winner rallye Deutschland (Germany) 1983 of the dream duo Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer (1:43, CMR, WRC011).

The editorial team has already reported about these modelcars, which can be reached via this link. Because of the strong popularity among collectors, the series of Walter Röhrl's racing cars will be continued. At the end of Q1 / beginning of Q2, the number WRC013, the Fiat 131 Abarth starting number 2, with which Röhrl and Geistdörfer achieved fourth place in the 1978 Monte Carlo rally, and the Porsche 911 S No. 7 Bavaria Rallye 1970 Walter Röhrl (WRC014). Further models are being planned. This also applies to the BMW M3 of the E30 series from the DTM: For the first half of the year, seven more diecast modelcars are announced, as this model in format 1:43 has also proven to be a top seller; also due to the good price / performance ratio. With the final price of 24.95 euros a real hit in the much sought-after pocket money category!
