Two life in the fast lane : the early 70s to fight the very different rival Niki Lauda ( Daniel Brühl ) and James Hunt ( Chris Hemsworth ) to move up in the racing Olympus. During the disciplined Lauda ambitious honing on his career to natural talent Hunt crashes into the glamorous jet-set life. Their rivalries they carry not only in spectacular races, but also in fierce war of words beyond the racetrack. Again and again we read: Hunt against Lauda - the rock star and Playboy of Formula 1, married to the most successful model of his generation , Suzy Miller ( OLIVIA WILDE ) , against the razor sharp strategist and perfectionists. From the fabled race at the Nürburgring in 1976 , the most dangerous of all racetracks , Lauda is on the first place in the table . But on the wet track , he builds a dramatic crash , his wife Marlene ( ALEXANDRA MARIA LARA ) fears for his life.
